1 year. I think there are few bands around with this approach to image and communication. After 18 years of existence, Blasted Mechanism released their eighth studio album. For each album (generation), the band build a completely new image and concept that cross along their costumes, masks, album design and communication.
I was asked to visualize concepts, design the costumes and helmets which were beautifully “engineered” and crafted by Nixfuste and Sofia Antunes, and finally i was also asked to design the cd and the print materials for the album release.
The theme for the album and the band’s approach focuses this time on the (re)evolution of human thought and action, creating new paradigms, setting aside many of which currently exist because they are out of time and proved useless. There’s a new generation…
See in my behance page the cd artwork and gig pass design. You can also find in my Flickr page process images and concept art for the costumes/helmets.
Last but not least, thumbs up for Alex Varanese by sharing his AMVAntechamber font and for having offered to talk about this project on Twitter.
